Have a backlog of stuff to d/l eps watch because I've been super busy with work, but at some point I'll post about TV reaction stuff. The short version is, of returning shows, I'm really happy with Modern Family, Castle, Chuck, and the Good Wife. Of the new shows, I see potential for No Ordinary Family and Undercovers. Still on the fence for Boardwalk Empire (period stuff I can usually only take in small doses). Shows to have in the background while writing are Nikita, Hawaii 5-0 and Bones at this point. I still haven't seen Fringe yet, because it's my reward at the end of the tunnel and the anticipation of watching it is helping get to the finish line for these drafts and outlines. Fun times.

Oh and Glee gets its own special category of "cracky guilty pleasure/I really shouldn't like this as much as I do/why am I watching this again?" See, the show is chock full of things that normally are dealbreakers for me (see: non-existent plots, soapbox afternoon special PSAs and the fact that the Continuity fairy died of Auto-tune overexposure). And yet, I cannot take my eyes off the cast, I am in awe of their talent and I love their takes on the music, studio mandated auto-tune aside.

The most recent episode is a prime example of that. The Britney/Brittany episode was a hot mess, even by Glee standards, and anyone who knows my taste in music knows that I have never liked Britney music, unless it's used for ironic purposes or karaoke. But damn if Heather Morris isn't mesmerizing when she dances. Holy crap, guys. I don't even know how she managed to do those moves she did, wearing the heels she was wearing.

Normally I think that if you're gonna do a video recreation/parody, it should be mostly shot-for-shot, and to a certain degree they did that, since Naya was doing all of Madonna's ridiculous rolling on the ground moves etc from the original video of Me Against the Music. But the choreography for Brittany/Britney of the Glee edition is just so much better than the original and Heather just KILLS it. I keep replaying this video from 0:49 when she throws the hat to Puck to 1:23 when they do the group slide over and over again, because the moves are so sharp and again, I don't know how she's outdancing everyone in those heels while everyone else is in more comfortable sneakers. Usually the SYTYCD alums stand out immediately. It took me about 3 rewatches of this to realize that one of the dancers right next to Brittany was Mark Kanemura - and Mark is one of my all time favorites. Girl is that fierce.

(Travis' cover of Baby One More Time remains the best Britney cover ever though.)

In other news, my electronics all seem to be failing me. The computer is making weird whurring sounds again (so I'm backing everything up again like whoa) and I need a new iPod because my old one has been declared dead and beyond repair. FUN. Between the ticket back here in January that I just bought and all those repairs/replacements, it's turning into a really expensive week. Ah well.

In conclusion: Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake recap the History of Rap, remain awesome while doing so.

Hehe. ICON WIN.

Brittany just wins at life. She makes everything better on Glee. I'm so glad they put Britney and Brittany together cuz that was highly amusing.

I enjoy finding funny videos to make you laugh. Oh btw, did I ever link you up to the Miracles mashup? Just in case I haven't yet, check it out:

I have a classic which is hard drive based, so when it started making funny noises, I knew something was up. I just travel with it too much. I take that thing everywhere with me. If I had tossed it in the wash, it'd be even more dead.

Okay, because I am a huge dork, this got lost in my email and I just watched the vid! But it's amazing. I love stuff like this, not only because the song is pretty when they put it together like that, but because dayum. Creative much? Thanks so much for sharing -- you know I'd never see this stuff without you. Taylor Swift is so weirdly adorable.

Oh, and M got a new iPod. Refurbished nano, and he loves it, so that's cool!
