I just---GAH!
I need to stop watching 24 with family members. They make me feel stupid for talking to the TV and getting excited about a show and make me generally feel like crap to the point that I can't enjoy it. I don't mind taking the piss out of the show's more questionable plotlines, but the difference is, I actually like the show. It doesn't have to make sense, I just like the rush, and my enjoyment of tonight's episode was completely ruined by people harshing my squee/making me feel stupid when I get upset when characters I have been attached to die on camera.
Which sucks because I actually do have a lot to say about this episode. I'm going to have to do another rewatch when I'm not completely irritated.
On a random note, I noticed Renee was wearing her earrings tonight. Was she always wearing them?
ETA- Oh and that's another thing. Castle, while a funny show, isn't any more believable than 24. Because the point of it is to watch Nathan Fillion do what he does best- be charmingly rougish and handsome. Just like the point of 24 is to watch how the characters react to extreme situations. The plot? Is always superfluous. That's just the way it is. (I need an "I watch for the plot" icon, like whoa.)
