Yes, yes, I know everyone's probably all talked out about the finale or is holed up with their DVDs. But it's taken me a while to process the finale because in many ways it was everything I wanted and nothing like I expected in terms of how it played out. I haven't yet heard the finale commentary because I want to go in with my own take before I hear what they were trying to accomplish, so here goes: Thoughts on 7x23 and 7x24 )

HOLY CRAP.

The only way that would have been more satisfying of finale would be if.....nope it's not coming to me. Well, no, here we go. My only wish would have been if the last line had been, "Guys...I'm freaking out" instead of the line we got. What we got works, but it would be been more "Chuck" and less homage to something else if we got that instead.

But still. More thoughts to come on this later, but DAMN, CHUCK. Well played, Fedak & Schwartz. Well played.

And it's official btw. Season 2 is pure, unadulterated gold. Not a bad episode in the lot.

I've been insanely quiet about last night's eps, all things considered. I think it's because my brain broke. I still need a day before I can post about 24, but for now, let's focus on the happiness that is Chuck. Because I can't even pick what my favorite part is about this episode, guys. EVERYTHING is my favorite part. BEST.EPISODE.EVER. Casey, would you like to help us to rescue my father? )

This ep could have easily served as a series finale, it was THAT good and THAT satisfying. And honestly, it scares me that the writers say that if the show doesn't get return next season, next week's ep will turn into the least satisfying series finales ever. Which means cliffhanger, which means- SIGH. NBC, DO NOT SCREW THIS UP. You did so well by making these promos last season:

I just...Please. Do the right thing and renew this show. Chuck needs to survive and be on my screen every week next season.

Media alert: Elisha Cuthbert to be on Letterman tonight. Also look out for her on Jimmy Kimmel Live on 4/23, and Janeane Garofolo on Jimmy Fallon on 4/22. Maybe we'll get more about the crazy twists, but just a heads up so you can adjust your DVRs accordingly.

In other 24 news:Spoilers for 7x18 and explanation of this post's title )

It's been a couple days and I'm still not over the Tony thing, but I think I've reached a temporary zen. More thoughts )

Yes I had to throw a Firefly reference in there. I needed to because, man, Monday nights are going to be the death of me. Both my shows had game-changing eps, but given the differences in their genre, the wild rides couldn't be more different.

Chuck vs the First Kill: OH MY GOD, SARAH, ILU. )

And on the other side of the coin, 24: 1:00am-2:00am )

OMG. SO MUCH GOODNESS IN ONE NIGHT.

Will edit this post and add coherent thoughts when I have calmed down. But for now, GOD I LOVE MONDAY SPY NIGHT NIGHTS.

Oh and spoilers in the comments.

Aaaand it's later: Thoughts on Hour 11:00pm-12:00am )

The Triangle that Isn't. 24 is about love. Anyone who says differently is wrong. )

If they keep this up, this might be my favorite season yet. It's definitely jumped above S3, and right now it's neck and neck between S1 and S2. And while a lot of what I love about it couldn't happen without S1-S6, there's nary a cougar, amnesia, or mystery baby in sight. If the last 8 eps are as good as this season, this season is definitely going to win.
