Well.....that sucks.

First day of the year and already a new crisis.

The mac, she is dead. Le sigh. I am going to try to see if I can get a replacement sooner rather than later, because it's been in the shop so many times that I'm sure I have somewhat of a case to build that they gave me a faulty unit, but otherwise, that's another $2000 I've gotta drop. I can't function without a computer. It's my livelihood and my main form of communication between here and there.

So sickness AND my computer is dead.

So far 2011 is off to a crappy start. Here's hoping it gets better. (I suppose it can only go up from here?)

Suck. Dude, I'm so sorry. I know that computer is like . . . your lifeline. I truly hope you can figure out a way to make them replace it so you don't have to shell out all that money. And I'm sorry you're sick, too. BLAH. *hugs*

Me too, dude. I hope I can make them replace it, but I'm not holding out too much hope.

If I may ask, what are you posting this post with? Another computer?

Hope you get a new Mac or fix your old one. I think it must be faulty. My Mac is *ancient* (by Computer standards) and it works fine.

Yeah I am posting from my mom's computer.

It totally must be faulty. I mean, I have wear and tear on my stuff a lot because of travel but I've had it for 3 years. Granted, I didn't turn it off for like 2 of those years, but still.

Ouch. That blows. My old-school 80GB PS3's blu-ray laser died on me a couple days ago, just after I picked up the blu-ray version of A Bridge Too Far along with Gran Turismo 5 and Oblivion - not to mention she's among the batch of units which is known to suffer the dreaded YLOD failure, and exactly the right age for it to happen.

Oh geez. That blows. I'm sorry to hear that. There's nothing more aggravating than getting new toys and then not getting to play with them because electronics fail you.

Well your situation definitely sucks more, as I can get a new Slim PS3 for "only" 300 bucks or so (though I am looking into finding out how to transfer the save files and downloaded games off my HD) and unlike you I don't need it to pay the bills.

Anyway hope you can get it sorted out soon without paying an arm and a leg.

Eh, it just means that I'll have to dip into the savings I have for a rainy day. No big, just something I'd rather not have to do, you know? I guess it's a good thing I am a hyper planner...

It has been fixed a lot. I hope you're able to get a replacement soon as I know that Mac's can run kinda expensive. It does seem like you might have gotten a lemon, although I thought that didn't happen with Mac's.

And feel better!

I'm sorry you're sick and that your computer is dead :( I really hope you'll be able to get a replacement and not have to pay for a new one!! *keeps fingers crossed* And I hope you feel better soon, too.
