Reasons to watch the Olympics

Currently watching the Parade of Nations with Ya Din has enlightened me as to why the Olympic opening ceremonies are so popular:

1. It's amusing to hear the announcers attempt to pronounce countries like Qatar. And no, I'm not talking about the Greek announcers.

2. The costumes are so much fun.

3. Comparing the number of athletes from each country is enlightening, not to mention discovering how diverse so many cultures are. (Ya Din: "Every country has an Asian!")

and most importantly:

4. Guy watching has never been better. The best athletes in the world have the best abs ever. And seriously? The entire Argentinian contingent is beautiful. **SWUD** (swoon-thud for those who aren't familiar with that term)

Still waiting for the Philippines, but man that area in the middle is looking really pretty.
