Made it safely back to Hong Kong. Emphasis on the safely because...well. Okay, so guess who has been traveling and without access to the Internet, news, TV or anything for the last 24 hours. Right, that would be me. Because if I had access, I would have known about the guy who shot up a bus of Hong Kong tourists in Manila yesterday and the (rightly so) angry reaction Hong Kong residents are having to the Philippine police enforcement.
Had I know *that* particular fact, I would not have worn the jacket with the HUGE FILIPINO SUN AND STARS on my back when I got off the plane. Did I mention that I had to take the bus to Ma On Shan rather than Maycee picking me up? I mean, jeez, they are even telling Filipino workers in HK not to show up for work, and I was cluelessly walking around the city, literally with a target on my back. It's a miracle I didn't get shoved around or yelled at or worse.
So yes. Am almost home and mostly connected again, although not on my own computer. Tomorrow night I'm back and will start posting stuff about the trip, since I was able to jot notes down while on the boat. It was a really awesome time.
