YOU GUYS MY COMPUTER IS FINALLY FIXED. FINALLY.

I'm so happy, I'm even willing to posting a Ke$ha video. Well kind of:

Yes, the song sucks. Doesn't matter. IMO, adding one of the following fandoms to any graphic/vid/song automatically makes it better: Monty Python, Mean Girls, Princess Bride and Star Trek. It's practically a rule on the Internet.

So, how is everyone?

ETA: Emmy Nominations are out

Reactions:
HOLY CRAP GLEE. NINETEEN NOMINATIONS? O_O

NPH, Cheno and Lea Michele weren't too much of a surprise. Neither was Mike O'Malley, although that is well deserved because Burt Hummel is one of the best parents out there in TV Land. And Jane Lynch was expected as was the show, but I think I’m happiest about Chris Colfer getting a nom. Awwwwwwwwww. My grinch heart just grew three sizes. I can’t wait for the outpouring of love that will inevitably happen on twitter. I love this cast too much.

Incredibly happy to see both Christine Baranski and Archie Panjabi both get noms for the Good Wife (now there's a show with some great female characters). JM does a phenomenal job anchoring the show as the head of the pin on which the show spins, but CB and AP take it to an even better level.

The noms for Mad Men and the Pacific are also well deserved. AND CAN I GET A HELL YEAH FOR FNL? FINALLY.

Overall, I'm pleased with the noms, except for reality TV host, because they snubbed Cat Deeley AGAIN. What is wrong with you people? Ugh.

Hee! I watched, and you're right. It even made William Shatner bearable for a couple minutes. Almost;)

But of course I am FUCKING HATING EVERYTHING due to Annie not getting an Emmy nom. I mean. Ugh. I knew she wouldn't because why should anything about the fail that was my show this year be awesome? But good god she deserved one after what she made of the SHIT heap they gave her. Fuck fuck fuck. /rant

At first i was like: Image.

But then I remembered it's the Emmys, and it's driven by politics as much as it is by talent. If it were only the latter, Buffy would have gotten more than one nomination in writing, Lauren Graham would have gotten a nomination, and there'd be a moratorium on the number of times Two and a Half Men could be nominated.

But it's not, and I've watched the politics of Emmys too much to know that it's hard for the voters to see excellence DESPITE bad material, no matter how well deserved it may be on both counts. They are more likely to honor someone in a season that is strong overall, because they tend to keep the show in mind despite the fact that they're supposed to look at individual performances. In this case, the writers totally screwed over Annie, and it wasn't helped by Cherry not submitting.

Sucks, I know. But that's the game.

Hehe. Nice gif! Oy. You follow all this a great deal more closely than I do, but generally speaking I know that all of the above is true in terms of Emmy politics.

I realize I'm biased because of my insane Annie/Renee love, but it seems that 24 keeps finding new and exciting ways to piss me off. It makes me angry because taken as a whole, I think it was an excellent show. Ergh.

Whatever. I'll never get over the fucking fantastic job Kiefer and especially Annie did with the shit they were given this season. I'll also never stop wishing such an amazing show had managed to go off the air without completely self-destructing. Bleh.
